Sid Baron
“Just Laugh About It”

In 1976, Sid Baron was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Through God’s grace and Sid’s own proactive approach to managing this disease, Sid has been able to maintain an active lifestyle.

Sid grew up on a small farm in the northern province of Holland and as a boy, experienced first hand what it was like living in Nazi occupied territory during the second World War.

“The years between 1940 and 1945 significantly influenced my life. The events of World War II not only molded and impacted my life; it largely shaped the world during the second half of the 20th Century.”

The values taught by Sid’s parents as a result of the firestorm of life stayed with him throughout his time and their commitment to loyalty and patriotism became a part of the fabric of his existence.

In 1948, Sid’s parents and siblings emigrated to the United States from Holland. He brought the values he had learned with him and started a number of successful companies in a variety of different fields. Sid always considered himself a born entrepreneur, and America gave him the chance to prove it.

In 1988, with a partner, he founded Exxel Pacific Corporation, which has grown its operation throughout the West, and he currently serves as Chairman of the Board.

One of the ways Sid Baron used to conquer his own illness was through laughter so it only seems appropriate that the third book he has written is entitled, “Just Laugh About It.”

Laughter is the best medicine is not just a slogan. As you read this delightful book, you will experience first hand Sid’s remarkable true stories. Each one is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and laughter you are bound to share with your family and friends. And what could be better than that?

Laughter helps reduce stress in your life. It will help you to improve your physical well-being and develop a stronger immune system. And laughter is contagious as it improves your mental state while you become the kind of person people naturally gravitate to. Remember that of all of God’s creatures, only human beings have been given the precious gift of laughter. Sid Baron has used it for over 35 years to help him survive multiple sclerosis. He is still thriving today.

Dawn Goldsmith has said of Just Laugh About It, “Baron continually reminds readers that laughter is healthy and reduces stress. The author gives several examples of times laughter has seen him through difficult times. He built his own successful business from scratch, fought off bankruptcy, and faced near-blindness--a side effect of multiple sclerosis. The book ends with the assurance that laughter has helped him overcome the obstacles. The writing flows in an energetic easy-to-read style”
